AccountAbility Fortune 100 Event in NYC with Its Advisory Board
On January 14th, AccountAbility hosted leading sustainability and business executives from Fortune 100 companies to honor members of its Advisory Board: Dr. Hans Decker, adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and former President & CEO of Siemens Corporation USA; Mr. Robert Herz, former Chairman of the Financial Account Standards Board (FASB) and current board member of Morgan Stanley and Fannie Mae; and, Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, former Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell and Anglo American plc, and current Vice-Chairman of the United Nations Global Compact.
The event featured insights on the future of sustainability and good governance from Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, who also personally signed copies of his newly published book, “Responsible Leadership: Lessons from the Frontline of Sustainability and Ethics”. Sir Mark led a lively Q&A session with the members of the audience that prominently featured questions about the sustainability challenges and decisions he undertook during his time at the helm of Royal Dutch Shell and Anglo American as well as geopolitical and macro economic trends and issues.
The event was held at the University Club on Fifth Avenue. The intimate evening served as a private discussion on relevant topics regarding corporate responsibility, governance, and future progress post COP21 Climate talks. AccountAbility CEO, Sunny Misser, who facilitated the event, stated, “this gathering was a valuable private forum to discuss practical insights on solving complex and multidimensional global business issues.”
AccountAbility will next be hosting business executives and its Advisory Board in March of this year to honor Advisory Board Member, Chairman of Saudi Investment Bank, and former President & CEO of Saudi Aramco, Mr. Abdallah S.
