 China Dialogue

AccountAbility Managing Partner, Simon Zadek will be attending the 2009 China Dialogue on Global Sustainable Recovery.

As the world’s fastest growing economy and largest exporter, China will be at the centre of any lasting solution to the globe’s two most pressing economic and sustainability concerns: recovering from the worst financial crisis since the 1930s and containing climate change. With greater prioritization of clean energy and sustainable development, China’s $586 billion stimulus package provides enormous opportunities for international business and other stakeholders.

The objectives of the conference will be to Gain In-Depth Insights into Policy & Market Developments in China, Explore Investment Opportunities in Energy and Clean Technology Projects in China and Deepen Collaboration with Chinese Businesses and Government.
Notable speakers at the event will include:
  • Pascal Lamy, Director-General, WTO
  • Yutai Zhang, Minister and President, Development Research Centre of the State Council, China
  • Zhenyu Sun, Ambassador of China to the WTO
  • Yangzhe Li, Director, China State Energy Conservation Centre
Bridges China Dialogue is committed to leveraging China’s transformative role in crafting a common global future ensuring open and fair trade, low carbon societies and sustainable development. The Dialogue is founded by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) in 2007 in Geneva.
