These include developing the AA1000 Series,  publishing material that considering regional, national and international Responsible Competitiveness, aligning responsible practices to business strategy and working to improve the governance and accountability of partnerships.

Membership of AccountAbility is an obvious choice for those committed to accountability and corporate responsibility.  Not only does it provide access to a global, multi-stakeholder network but the associated benefits package provides the opportunity to keep up-to-date with our work, as well as to contribute, to learn and to take a visible leadership role in the field of accountability for sustainable development.

Since AccountAbility’s establishment in 1995, our membership has grown to over 300 members in 20 countries. Our members have played a vital role in shaping the direction of our organisation and the nature of our work. AccountAbility has always valued and relied upon the input from members and now more than ever is looking towards working with, servicing and developing relationships with new members.

Who can become a MEMBER?

Membership of AccountAbility is open to everyone - we embrace an innovative multi-stakeholder collaborative model and consequently our members span business, civil society and the public sector, all on an international scale. AccountAbility welcomes large and small corporations, large and small service providers, NGOs, research bodies and academics as well as those individuals who are practitioners in the field of corporate social responsibility.

AccountAbility recently launched the Assurance Provider Membership for organisations that provide independent, external assurance to CSR and sustainability reporting. Current AccountAbility Members who are Assurance Providers will automatically become Assurance Provider Members and also retain their AccountAbility member status. Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioners (CSAP) who work for or are affiliated with an AccountAbility Assurance Provider Member no longer need to be an individual AccountAbility practitioner member. All others will still need to be a practitioner member.
