Research:
AccountAbility undertakes in-depth research on issues (e.g. collaborative governance, responsible competitiveness, supply chains, climate change, low-carbon innovation, water management); on sectors (e.g. financial services, pharmaceuticals, energy and extractives, information and communications technology, apparel and footwear); and on countries and regions (e.g. North America, European Union, Mid-East, G20, emerging markets and developing world).
Recent work: AccountAbility partnered with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to publish the The Climate Competitiveness Index 2010, a pioneering exploration of how countries are making progress towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient Green Economy. The report examines strategy coherence, accountability and implementation track records in 95 countries.
Standards:
AccountAbility's principles-based standards, the AA1000 series, provide the solution to building trusted, accountable and transformative relationships. Our standards are developed through a multi-stakeholder consultation process which ensures they are written for those they impact, not just those who may gain from them. They are used by a broad spectrum of organisations -- multinational businesses, small and medium enterprises, governments and civil society organisations.
Recent work: The AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (AA1000SES), originally published in 2005 is under revision to make it more accessible, practical and strategically applicable, demonstrating the value of robust engagement and articulating how this can be achieved.

Through the implementation of practical market-driven solutions, AccountAbility helps clients increase revenue, manage risk, and enhance brand and reputation. AccountAbility advises clients on strategy development, supply chain management, stakeholder engagement, performance and sustainability reporting and assurance.
Recent work: AccountAbility is assisting a leading global pharmaceutical company in developing an enterprise-wide CR strategy. Following a review of its global CR initiatives, AccountAbility is providing strategic support on the design and implementation of a CR performance management system (processes, metrics and controls), a stakeholder engagement framework and an integrated CR reporting process. AccountAbility has also worked to formulate a leading “access to medicines” strategy that defines the company's vision and priorities, and helps co-ordinate related activities across the company.
