Collaborative Governance
With this trend effective governance and the manner in which partnerships can be held to account is equally becoming a mainstream issue. Collaboratively-governed initiatives need to enhance their performance through effective governance, strong accountability mechanisms, and deep engagement of stakeholders with particular attention to targeted beneficiaries.
Our focus includes:
Partnership Governance and Accountability (PGA) Framework. This first-of-its-kind framework enables collaboratively-governed institutions to assess the strengths and weaknesses of their governance system against a framework of leading practice and related benchmarks. The PGA Framework provides a roadmap for these bodies to enhance governance and accountability in a way that delivers enhanced performance.
Scaling the Impacts of Voluntary Sustainability Standards Systems. In partnership with the ISEAL Alliance – and with the support of SECO – this project seeks to build a common strategy for the world's leading voluntary standards systems (such as the the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation, the Forest Stewardship Council, the Marine Stewardship Council, the Rainforest Alliance, and Social Accountability International among several others) to bring their sustainable development impacts to scale.
