With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of investment management, capital markets and sustainable finance, Guillaume specializes in translating sustainability trends and factors into actionable business cases for go-to-market strategy and product development. Guillaume has been recognized for his early work on moving sustainable investing from mere data exclusions to a core component of fundamental, bottom-up financial analysis. He is also an early practitioner in the field of integrated reporting, incorporating material sustainability factors in financial and operational disclosures.

Prior to joining AccountAbility, Guillaume served as Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance at U.S. Bancorp where he designed the bank’s sustainable finance commercial strategy, and enabled business lines to commercialize new products and services, notably in environmental finance and energy transition.

Previously, Guillaume served as Global Head of Sustainability Strategy at Jennison Associates LLC and Head of Sustainable Investing for American Century Investments where he developed the analytical frameworks, carbon stress-testing models, and commercial strategy to raise assets in equity and fixed income sustainable investment strategies for both firms. His previous experience spans roles as ESG Credit Research Analyst at PIMCO, focusing on financials, pharmaceuticals, and utilities credits; and Senior ESG Research Analyst at MSCI where he developed the firm’s fuel-mix and asset risk exposure model, and one of the industry’s first sustainable credit rating methodologies. Guillaume also served as a corporate sustainability advisor to Resolute Forest Products (Domtar).

Guillaume received a BA and MA (Research) in International Affairs from the University of Quebec in Canada. He also holds an MALD in International Business and Economics from Tufts University. His thesis on environmental negotiations and energy innovation was published as part of the Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School. Guillaume also completed the GRI Certified Training Program at Boston College. He is a recipient of three highly selective Canada Research Training Awards.

His commentary and observations have been cited in Bloomberg, Barron's, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Handelsblatt (Germany), Der Aktionär (Germany), Institutional Investor, Das Investment (Germany), DOB Energy (Canada), The Journal of Superannuation Management and Financial Standard Sustainability (Australia).
